Versace apartments – a private fashion house in the sky
Versace apartments is an exclusive residential interior designed by Danica Space for a private client from the United States. Our brief was clear: create a luxurious apartment that feels like living inside a Versace Home campaign, while keeping the layout highly functional, comfortable for long stays, and technically up to date.
As an architecture & interior design studio for villas and homes, we developed the full interior architecture, furniture layout, FF&E package and build-ready drawings, so the project can be implemented with precision and minimal risk on site.
Client brief: an American client, a European apartment, a Versace lifestyle
The client, based in the US, wanted a European apartment that expresses a strong personal identity and a lifelong love of Italian fashion. The space had to work both as a comfortable home and as a representative apartment for meeting friends, partners and guests.
Key points of the brief:
- a luxury apartment interior with a clear Versace signature;
- open-plan living and dining area for hosting 6–8 people;
- a calm, hotel-like master suite and flexible guest room / home office;
- generous storage, integrated appliances and smart lighting scenes;
- sustainable, energy-efficient solutions wherever possible.
Instead of reproducing a showroom, we translated Versace’s visual language—Medusa, Greca, baroque pattern and bold silhouettes—into a warm, livable apartment interior.
Versace Home collections as the DNA of the interior
For this project we curated furniture and décor from several Versace Home collections, combining iconic pieces with custom carpentry and architectural details. Versace Home extends the fashion house’s glamour into furniture, lighting, wallpaper and home décor, turning everyday rooms into immersive brand experiences.
In the main living area, the composition is built around soft, sculptural seating from the La Medusa family – sofa and armchairs with the signature Medusa detail and rounded silhouettes. A low marble Iconic coffee table and side tables pick up the metallic accents in polished gold, while a Greca-border rug grounds the entire lounge.
The dining zone continues the theme with a statement table and slim Stiletto-inspired legs, paired with upholstered chairs that echo the graphic geometry of Versace heels. Additional seating modules reference the V21 Signature collection, giving the client the flexibility to reconfigure the space for larger gatherings.
The result is a luxury apartment where every room contains recognisable Versace Home pieces, but the overall impression is curated and architectural rather than overloaded.

Interior architecture, zoning and materials
Behind the recognisable Versace furniture is a carefully planned piece of interior architecture. Danica Space re-organized the apartment into three main zones:
- Representative front zone – entrance, guest bathroom, open-plan living and dining;
- Private master suite – bedroom, dressing room, en-suite bathroom;
- Flexible wing – guest bedroom that can shift into a home office or media room.
The material palette starts from a calm base: champagne-toned stone, warm ivory walls and softly reflective ceilings. On this canvas we layer Versace’s black and gold accents, deep greens and rich burgundy details. Custom joinery in natural wood with lacquered inlays frames the Medusa and Greca motifs instead of competing with them.
Hidden storage, integrated wardrobes, and full-height doors maintain clean sightlines, so the Versace furniture and décor remain the main visual focus. All key drawings—walls, ceilings, lighting, built-ins—are coordinated using the same BIM-driven workflow we apply to our architectural projects, reducing clashes and change orders during fit-out.
Sustainable comfort behind the glamour
Even in a highly decorative apartment, we keep our sustainability standards. The Versace apartments design includes:
- 100% LED lighting with dimmable scenes and presence sensors in transitional zones;
- climate-tuned shading and zoning, connected to smart home controls to reduce energy use;
- long-life materials—natural stone, engineered wood, high-quality metals—selected for durability rather than fast fashion;
- energy-efficient built-in appliances and water-saving fixtures.
These decisions follow the same logic as in our passive and Active House projects: comfort, air quality and energy performance are designed alongside aesthetics, not as an afterthought.
