Rimmart is a modern classic apartment renovation in the heart of Kyiv, combining an interior design project with turnkey renovation management. The client is the founder and jewelry designer behind the renowned Ukrainian brand Rimmart. The goal was to create a light, elegant, detail-driven interior with a highly functional layout, refined mouldings, and strong yet balanced color accents.

The original apartment layout included three bedrooms, a kitchen, a corridor, two bathrooms, and a storage room. The re-planning was intentionally minimal, because the space had strong starting conditions and required a precise, architectural upgrade rather than a full redesign.
We removed one wall and merged two rooms to create a generous open-plan main hall. The children’s room and the master bedroom remained separate. By integrating the corridor, the hall, and the former room area, we achieved a brighter, more fluid living space with cleaner circulation and a stronger sense of volume—an essential improvement for an apartment renovation in a city center context.
After opening up the layout, a structural column became the central element of the composition. Instead of hiding it, we made it functional and visually refined: a full-height mirror was integrated into the column and positioned right next to the wardrobe—exactly where it’s most useful in daily life.
To elevate the column, we used plaster detailing and wall mouldings. This approach transformed a purely structural necessity into a signature design moment and reinforced the modern classic character of the interior.

The interior design reflects that mindset through carefully aligned frames, elegant proportions, and a calm, light base palette that makes every detail feel intentional.
Despite the detailing, the space remains bright, airy, and easy to live in. The design concentrates stronger color statements in two key zones: the kitchen and the lounge area—so the apartment feels expressive without becoming visually heavy.
The final interior delivers a spacious open-plan living area, a refined modern classic aesthetic, and a functional everyday layout. The clients were extremely happy with the outcome—especially the increased sense of space, the practical mirror integration on the column, and the balance between calm light surfaces and expressive accents.
